Greetings from China! A committee update from our team at BeanMUN:
The BeanMUN UN Alliance of Civilizations was a committee of thirty delegates representing countries from all regions of the world. We spent most of the conference discussing the migration of Muslims to Europe and the United States, and how the assimilation of these migrants can be improved. By Sunday morning, the committee passed a resolution establishing a fund to improve cross-cultural education in both Muslim and Western countries to improve understanding, along with recommendations for Western countries to decrease tensions with current citizens and new immigrants. Our committee had excellent debate, impressive teamwork and compromise, and a great conference overall!
