Mission and Goals

The mission of Boston University’s International Affairs Association is to attract students of different and unique backgrounds and talents to learn about foreign affairs, lend a hand to the Greater Boston Area through community service, and to grow as determined and passionate global citizens who are aware of their own power to actively make a difference in the world. We strive to be a welcoming and inclusive community, respectful of all beliefs and backgrounds – we want every individual to be heard. BUIAA is comprised of six different branches: Global Civics, the International Relations Review, the Model UN Travel Team, BarMUN, BosMUN, and Global Insights, all of which work hand-in-hand to further BUIAA’s mission throughout Boston University. We teach professional skills such as networking and debate and provide members with four years of valuable experience in the world of international relations.
