Travis Cunningham | Secretary-General

Travis is a junior in the College of Arts and Sciences majoring in International Relations and minoring in Italian.  He started his MUN career when the BarMUN III Secretary-General, Jessica Merrell, reached out to him about becoming a Chief Crisis Coordinator.  The rest is history, with Travis becoming extremely involved in the club, serving on both the Executive Board as Treasurer during his sophomore year, as well as competing on the BU travel team   Travis hails from the great state of Oregon, and enjoys telling people about his hometown of Bend whenever he gets the chance.  He is incredibly excited to be serving as your Secretary-General for BarMUN V!

Katrina Trost | Chargée d’Affaires

Katrina is a sophomore studying Political Science with a focus in International Relations. She currently hails from Overland Park, Kansas, but has lived all over the country. She first was exposed to Model UN in high school, but really fell in love with it here at BU, along with all things BUIAA. Katrina has had the opportunity to serve as the Crisis Director for the French DGSE at BarMUN IV, Marketing Director of our parent organization, the IAA, and as the Conference Affairs Director of BosMUN XI. Katrina brings passion to everything she does, and especially loves reading, traveling, coffee and espresso!

Sarah Blair | Chief Crisis Coordinator

Sarah comes from Yorba Linda, California, and is thoroughly enjoying her time at Boston University. She is studying International Relations with a focus on Africa and the Middle East, and finds Model UN to be a perfect supplement to her education. Sarah Crisis Directed for the Hizb al-Wafd of Egypt in BarMUN IV, and is incredibly excited to serve as your Chief Crisis Coordinator for BarMUN V. In her free time, Sarah likes to read, play with animals, and take an abnormally large number of naps.

Alex Ionescu | Chief Crisis Coordinator

Alex was born in New York City and spent much of his later life there, but in his childhood he grew up in a small Transylvanian city in Romania. He came to Boston University seeking a change in his environment and is currently enrolled in the School of Management. Model UN was a chance encounter in his freshman year, an event that has led to his growing participation and a greater respect for the global environment. Alex previously crisis directed the Sino Hydro committee in BarMUN IV and is proud to be your Chief Crisis Coordinator for BarMUN V. While not doing anything MUN or school related, he likes to go out often into the city of Boston and have a great time with his friends.

Cameron Sheehan | Chief Financial Officer

Cameron is a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences and is studying English and Political Science. She hails from Falmouth, Maine. She has staffed three previous conferences as a crisis staffer. After a long high school career of Model UN experience, she was happy to continue with the organization on the administrative side. Although Cameron spends most of her time during the school year busy with school work, she enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with friends and family.

Cassidy Bissel | Chief Operations Officer

Cassidy is a freshman majoring in Political Science, with a possible minor in French. Originally hailing from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, she enjoys the lively atmosphere that Boston offers and loves exploring the city. She discovered her love for BU and Model UN at BosMUN, BU’s high school conference, but discovered her love for crisis at last years BarMUN IV as a staffer for the DGSE. When she’s not doing Model UN, Cassidy enjoys cooking, running, reading, and being sassy. She looks forward to overseeing operations for BarMUN V and can’t wait to see everyone in the fall!

Dustin Vandenberg | Chief Information Officer

As a freshman at Boston University studying both Political Science and Computer Science, Dustin has grown to love model UN for its mix of public speaking, politics, and international affairs. Dustin was a crisis staffer for Sino-Hydro Corporation in BarMUN IV and will be serving as a Chair of the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights at BosMUN XI. In his free time, he absolutely loves skiing back home in Colorado. In addition, he competes on BU’s Model UN Travel Team, Mock Trial Team, Curling Team, and Quidditch Team. He is unbelievably excited to be serving as your Chief Information Officer for BarMUN V.
