Daniel Freehling | Secretary General
Dan is a junior in the College of Arts and Sciences double-majoring in International Relations and Political Science. Hailing from Saugus, Massachusetts, this will be his third BosMUN conference and ninth year of involvement with Model UN. With any time left over from schoolwork and Model UN, Dan enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, cooking, and discussing politics.
Kaila Summers | Director General
Kaila is a senior majoring in pure and applied mathematics. A Colorado native she often wonders how she ended up in Boston. She is attending BU on a Naval ROTC scholarship and upon graduating will enter the Navy as in Ensign. This is her fourth BosMUN, having been a crisis staffer in the Floating Crisis for BosMUN VIII, a co-chair for INTERPOL in BosMUN IX and USG, Crisis for BosMUN X. In her free time she loves to travel and get lost in books.
Nadia Pereira | USG General Assembly
Nadia Pereira is a junior in the College of Arts and Sciences, majoring in Political Science and minoring in Women’s Studies. Despite growing up in Massachusetts, Nadia still loves exploring Boston and appreciating all the history and culture of the city. Nadia participated in last year’s BosMUN X as the chair of the Special Political and Decolonization Committee. In her free time, Nadia enjoys curling up with a good book and eating all the chocolate she can handle. She also loves traveling and getting lost in museums. Nadia is excited to be the Undersecretary-General of General Assembly Committees and is looking forward to an amazing BosMUN XI.
Edward Rivera | USG ECOSOC
Edward S. Rivera is a Sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences double majoring in History and Economics with a minor in Japanese. He originates from New Jersey, where during his high school years he discovered his love for Model UN. He is a library assistant at BU’s stone science library, a job he greatly enjoys. During his free time he can be found practicing Japanese, reading, playing video games, or doing internationally affiliated things. He is excited to be the USG for ECOSOC and looking forward to what will be a fantastic BosMUN XI.
Nick Seidler | USG Specialized
Nick is a junior at Boston University. He is majoring in International Relations and Economics and studies Mandarin as well. Born in New Hampshire and raised in Massachusetts, Nick likes to spend his free time on the slopes with the BU Ski Racing Team and when all the snow melts you can find him hiking up a mountain somewhere. Nick joined the Model United Nations community when he came to college and has competed with the BUIAA Travel Team and staffed BUIAA’s own conferences. At last year’s BosMUN he was a Co-Chair for the UN Population Fund. As Under Secretary General Specialized Nick is looking forward to building on a decade of BosMUN successes and making this year one to remember!
Hilary Lyons | USG Crisis
Hilary Lyons is a sophomore at Boston University, majoring in International Relations with a concentration in the Middle East and Africa. She is originally from the Hudson Valley region of New York. This is her second year participating in the extravagance that is BosMUN. She served as a crisis staffer in BosMUN X for the Margaret Thatcher and Leopoldo Galtieri JCC. She enjoys reading, traveling, and unwarrantedly dancing in public places! She is looking forward to another great year for BosMUN!
Mitchell Hoke | Information Director
Originally from Cape Coral, Florida, Mitchell wonders why he ever decided to move to a state that actually experiences winter. As a Sophomore with a Philosophy and Linguistics major, he’s not your typical MUN kid, but loves it all the same. Currently learning French and German, Mitchell is determined to become fluent in at least four languages. Formerly a delegate at BosMUN IX, he hopes to provide the same memorable experience he received.
Katrina Trost | Conference Affairs Director
Katrina Trost hails from Overland Park, Kansas (No, not from a farm, Overland Park is just south of Kansas City). She is a sophomore studying Political Science with a focus in International Relations. Katrina loves ballet, and has continued dancing at BU. Model UN has been a big part of her life since arriving at BU; she’s been involved crisis staffing and chairing and is excited to serve as your Conference Affairs Director this year! Katrina loves MUN, and hopes you do too!
Caitlin Flynn | Operations Director
Caitlin is a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences majoring in International Relations. A Chicago native, Caitlin loves to follow domestic politics as well as foreign affairs. This will be her second BosMUN, and she is thrilled to be Operations Director. Besides BosMUN, she was a vice chair for Hezbollah in BU’s collegiate conference and sometimes travels with the IAA. In her free time she enjoys playing ice hockey, traveling and cooking absurd amounts of food with her family.
Colin Rosenow | Technical Director
Colin hails from Manhattan, Kansas (Yes, from a farm), and is a junior in the College of Arts and Sciences studying International Relations and Economics. Colin loves to ride his bike, cook, and run in his free time, but lately he has been very busy with all his activities. As the Technical Director for BosMUN, he is responsible for building this website, as well as creating the logo and graphics that you see during the conference. Colin attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago his freshman year, and later transferred to BU. In addition to this conference, he is the CIO of BarMUN and the current Treasurer of the BUIAA.
