“A fun and interactive way to get introduced to the world of Model United Nations”
The Intra-BU Conference Simulation (IBUCS), BUIAA’s one-day introduction to Model UN and the Travel Team, will be held Saturday, September 14, from 9:30 AM – 3:00 PM at the GSU Conference Auditorium (second floor of the GSU). IBUCS will feature a novice committee for those with no prior MUN experience and an advanced committee for experienced delegates. Participation in IBUCS will factor into conference team selection and awards/prizes will be given out in each committee.
Business casual dress is preferred. You can sign up below, or just show up the day of and we’ll provide you with all necessary materials and information. Whether you’re interested in immersing yourself in a Model UN committee for the first time or putting your skills as a delegate to the test again with all your BUIAA friends, we hope to see you on Saturday! If I do IBUCS am I in the IAA? How much commitment is involved?
IBUCS is a one-day simulation. There is absolutely no commitment to join anything further, although we hope it will inspire you to join us for further programs and consider our travel team.
How much do I have to research and prepare?
You will be given a short 3-5 page background guide for your respective committee. After reading this, you will be more than prepared for the simulation. Our experienced and knowledgeable staff will be available to answer any of your questions on the day of the conference.
What should I wear?
Western business attire is preferred, but not required.
