Welcome to MUN@BU

MUN@BU, Boston University’s competitive Model UN team, is currently the 8th best MUN program in North America (according to Best Delegate). Every year, the team travels across North America to compete amongst the most competitive teams on the collegiate MUN circuit.

Model United Nations is an international program in which students simulate various regional and international committees and discuss highly controversial topics. Each delegate is assigned a country or individual to represent the viewpoints of via written documents and speeches. MUN@BU team members have the opportunity to travel across the world to meet other young people of diverse backgrounds, form lifelong friendships and connections, share ideas, improve debate skills, and become inspired.

The MUN@BU team meets twice weekly to teach both beginner and advanced techniques to delegates from a variety of MUN backgrounds. No prior experience is required to participate, and weekly general meetings are open to anyone wanting to join the team, practice speaking, or just observe! Tryouts for the select Cut Team are held at the beginning of the year and have an added meeting each week with more intensive and specialized training. Neither of these meetings require prior experience, and people from all majors, interests, and backgrounds are welcome! The team is looking forward to a highly successful year.

If you have any questions or would like to learn more about joining the team, please reach out to the Head Delegates.
