The IRR welcomes all undergraduate student staff to write, edit, publish, design, and print one of the best student-run journals on campus. Internal team members work in the IRR’s layout department, run its podcast, solicit sponsorships, and more. Editorial team members create articles for the IRR’s semesterly print journals and the IRR’s website. Writers are placed in regional departments based on their academic research interests and the journal’s needs. Currently, we are hiring both Senior and Junior staff members and applicants will be considered on a first come first serve basis. Find both the IRR website and application form linked down below.

BosMUN XXVI, our high school MUN conference, is now hiring for all staff positions! Come staff a committee and mentor high school students first-hand or join our media and logistics teams to bring this conference to life! All staff members are required to attend periodic training sessions before conference weekend. More information will be sent to members during the hiring process! This conference will take place February 5-7, 2027.

BarMUN XIX, our collegiate Model UN conference, is currently hiring for Junior Staff positions! This includes the roles of crisis staff, media staff, and logistics staff. Before applying for a senior staff position, please make yourself aware of your position’s expectations prior to the conference. This includes completing any additional assignments as requested and attending training sessions. This conference will take place October 1-4, 2026.

Students for the United Nations (SUN) is directly affiliated with UNA-USA and serves as the official chapter representing Boston University. SUN aligns its monthly service with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), organizing events like local food drives, Esplanade cleanups, and community outreach.

The MUN@BU team meets weekly to teach both beginner and advanced techniques to delegates from a variety of MUN backgrounds. No prior experience is required to participate, and weekly general meetings are open to anyone wanting to join the team, practice speaking, or just observe (Tuesdays 8:30-10 @ HAR 208).

Tryouts for the select Cut Team are held at the beginning of the semester and have an added meeting each week with more intensive and specialized training. Cut Team tryouts will be announced in early September.
