GLOBAL VILLAGE

Spearheaded by our wonderful events board team, Global Village is our yearly collaboration between BUIAA and BU Cultural Clubs. Emphasizing our mission towards appreciating diversity in backgrounds and narratives, we encourage many of BU’s cultural organizations to set up booths introducing their traditional food, games and facts. Participants are able to enjoy a night of wonderful dishes, music, and performances by these clubs. Global Village is held at the Metcalf Hall at George Sherman Union.

BUIAA Summit

The BUIAA Summit is an new, annual gathering designed to bring together students, faculty, and disntinguished guests for a day of learning and connection. The summit is a full-day conference with features such keynote speakers, fireside chats, workshops, and networking opportunities. The Summit begins in Questrom’s Trustee Ballroom with a keynote address before moving into the interactive sessions and later returning for lunch and a second keynote address. Throughout the day sutdents can engage with esteemed speakers and connect with peers who share a passion for international relations.

INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS REVIEW
LAUNCH PARTY

At the end of the fall semester, BUIAA celebrates the hard work of the IRR staff by hosting a launch party at BU Castle. Decorated with balloons and accompanied by appetizers, BUIAA general members and IRR staff come together to hear emotional speeches from one another, connect with global studies professors, and enjoy a night of laughter and music.

Back to BUIAA

Back to BUIAA is an bi annual event hosted in BU Central. Our Meet and Greet Welcome Event is the perfect start to the year, bringing together returning members, newcomers, and friends for an evening filled with energy and connection. BU Central came alive with conversation as people shared summer stories, explored upcoming BUIAA programs, and met the teams behind our conferences and initiatives.

BUIAA GALA

Held at the end of the Spring Semester, the BUIAA family - current members and alumni - come together to celebrate the Boston University International Affairs Association’s anniversary! Held on a yacht, it is a night of connecting with alumni and members of all branches. With hors d'oeuvres, dancing, formal glam outfits and music, the community comes together to celebrate the launch of the Spring edition of the International Relations Review.

BU Student Activities (SAO) twice yearly Splash event (it’s also held at the beginning of spring semester) has been Boston University’s involvement fair for all clubs, teams, and organizations around campus for over 20 years. BUIAA, as a BU registered club showcases our branches here as well!

Traditionally held at the Nickerson field on West Campus, BUIAA’s booth can be found in the academics area. Find us during orientation week, and we will be happy to speak to you about our different branches and boards for your involvement!
