Since its establishment in 1973, The Boston University International Affairs Association, or BUIAA, has progressed into one of BU’s largest and most distinguished undergraduate student organizations.

The International Relations Review — a premier undergraduate research journal published biannually in the Library of Congress
UNA-USA Chapter, Students for the United Nations (SUN)— a forum for learning about, discussing, and engaging in service related to global issues
The Boston Area Model United Nations Conference (BarMUN)— BUIAA’s collegiate Model UN conference
The Boston University Model United Nations Conference (BosMUN)— BUIAA’s Model UN conference for high school delegates
MUN@BU— Boston University’s competitive Model UN team, currently ranked 8th in North America
Mission
The missions of BUIAA and its constituent branches encompass the promotion of diplomacy, cultural dialogue, and international education outside the classroom, from Boston University to the world beyond.
As one of the largest, most academically rigorous, and disciplinarily diverse organizations on BU's campus, BUIAA has something to offer every student interested in international affairs, debate, politics, and more.
