Hailing from Orange County, California, Malena (she/her) is pursuing a major in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with minors in Public Health and Classical Civilizations. Malena first became a part of BUIAA in her freshman year when she joined MUN@BU. Since joining MUN@BU, she staffed BarMUN and served on BosMUN’s secretariat, and she is so excited to serve as this year’s secretary for BUIAA! Outside of Model UN, Malena volunteers for Hearts for Homeless, is involved in BU’s Student Government as part of the Advocacy Team, and does research in BU’s Chemistry Department. In her spare time, Malena enjoys reading, knitting, and binge-watching “Derry Girls,” which may be one of the greatest shows ever created.
